L/D --- 06/30/2011

Jeff and Jane Hudson reissue now out. Was a little concerned the whole record would sound like their World Trade record. That record's beats get incredibly repetitive when listening all the way through. And not repetitive in a good way (like heavy driving beats), rather in an irritating way. The songs taken alone though can be rather enjoyable if in the right mood.

This Double Lp reissue includes the World Trade tracks plus much much more. So far I find the other songs featured rather stellar; Los Alamos is a definite YES! Check it out at the Dark Entries/Captured Tracks sites.

Also picked up the new Minimal Wave Hidden Tapes compilation. Alright so far. The Robert Lawrence + Mark Phillips track is amazing. Nothing else on it has stood out as much yet....further listening needed.

Pick of the Week: Draw between Jeff and Jane Hudson's "Los Alamos" and Robert Lawrence + Mark Phillips' "Computer Bank"
